Question about the "sniper"

Was there a recent shooting that promted another highway (I-70 ) closing, which is where the two guys were found?

No. The last shooting was on Saturday evening in Ashland, Virginia.

[Edit]: Actually, the last victim was the bus driver in Maryland on Tuesday morning.

The rest area is along a seven-mile stretch of Interstate 70 near Myersville, Maryland, that had been shut down in a dragnet launched just a few hours earlier by Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose, the head of the sniper task force.

With the tension around here lately, if a car backfired, the whole area would be shutdown. A school bus driver reported seeing a man with a rifle in a white truck somewhere in my neighborhood yesterday afternoon. Dragnet. Something went down at the shopping mall near my house a couple of Fridays ago. Dragnet.

It's been pretty crazy.
