Question about the Movie "Crash"

In the part where the Indian father is buying a gun...and the daughter obviously doesnt want him to have one.....

Did she buy blanks on purpose? Or was that just a good coincidence? There is evidence supporting either claim...just wanted to know what you thought.
 
It was coincidence wasn't it? She wasn't sure what types of bullets to buy and the shop owner was being smart and wasn't really helping her so she just randomly pointed to some bullets and said she'd take those, right?

I dont know....she could fluently speak and read english....I honestly think she knew because she didnt want him to have a gun from the beginning...and thought that blanks were the next best option. She chose them i remember...she said 'Just give me the ones in the red box" (the ONLY red box of bullets)
 
Crash was a really well done movie with some great actors. I def give it 2 thumbs up. The end part where the mexican locksmith is holding his daughter(you know what I am talking about).......OMG I think everyone in that theater was almost in tears. 😛

Dude I shot straight up outta my seat and was pissed.That movie actually kinda made me hate Iranians a bit more cause of what an asswipe the persian guy was.
 
I dunno. I didn't like all the pseudo-sexual connotations with vehicles and sex. Not David Cronenberg's best effort. And finally seeing Holly Hunter naked makes me wish that I hadn't.

Yeah, I never once felt sorry for him. He was just an angry ignorant person. Who realized what a piece of sh*t he was at that scene.

If you had that reaction to the Persian guy, you should have 'shot straight up outta" your seat for EVERY character. That's the point of the movie. It reinforces your prejudices then slaps some sense into you.

Like...i know its just a movie.....but like....Ive NEVER seen someone be THAT prejudice. I am only 18....and ive seen some prejudice before...but never THAT blatent..

hahaha, thats hilarious. I have yet to see that "Crash", but I have heard about it.
 
I think she went back and checked the box after the shooting incident and saw that they were blanks then. Though it's been a while since I saw it and I've slept since then, so maybe I'm just making things up.
