I just watched it and I didn't get one thing:

WTF was up with Lisa? Why would she make that graphic thing, intro dealie for Milo and then end up being one of the "bad guys?!"

I must say, I think the DVD I rented is fscked up because sometimes it would just skip forward from somewhere in a chapter all the way to the next- at random. I'm 99% sure I could all of the skippings, but I'm not positive.

So...what happened to her?

she was a bad guy all along, she was just there to coerse him into working on the project. she was the one that was telling him to keep working on it.

My wife and I thought about this too. The only reasoning I could come up with, since he obviously knew she was a baddie, is that either him or one of his buddies developed the whole presentation Either that or it's just one big plot hole they decided to leave unplugged!

I saw this movie a long time ago so I don't remember any of the character's names. Anyway, she did the graphic thing because his plan was to finish the project and to broadcast it. In order to finish the project, he needed the GUI. Both of them wanted the project finished for different reasons.

i'm not gonna go grab a copy, i don't remember it that well but from what i do remember, they had 2 parts to the project that needed to be completed. she did her end while he did his, she told him it was the only way to screw over the big boss or something along those lines. he followed along, and finished his end. she did her's, and the project was completed, but she was doing the project for the bill gates wannabe boss man. he found out she was a baddie, had a backup and had his friends broadcast the signal. excuse the rambling, i'm tired ;)

Zeroburn's explaination makes the most sense to me. She was merely Tim Robbin's puppet.

You're either a 1 or a 0, alive or dead.

Right...okay, but I still don't understand why she would make such a bad intro thing to be broadcast. I mean, it never shows that he saw it, so why wouldn't she do something in support of NURV? Also, it wasn't very clear that she was urging him on, it really looked like they were urging each other on.
