Question about the Guitar Hero / Rock Band guitars

How big are they? Not full size, I assume/hope? Can you take them apart easily / disassemble them for storage?

I saw at least one third party guitar that specifically said in the description that it could be taken apart into three pieces...didn't know if that was the case with the other guitars out there.

Thanks.

RB 1 guitar doesn't come apart(Fender Strat). Guitar Hero 1/2 doesn't(Explorer). Guitar Hero 3 controller(Les Paul) splits apart at the kneck. Not sure on RB 2 or GH:4 controllers.

As for size, they are about 2/3 the size of the guitar they modeled after.

The GH:WT guitar also comes with the headpiece unassembled, but I haven't checked to see how easy it would be to detach it once you've snapped it in place.

I user the Fender Bass replica. Its mainly for bass players as it has a split strum bar. It is actually the same size as my real Gibson Les Paul but a bit shorter than a real bass guitar. I use it for RB1, RB2 and GH:WT. Its a bit heavier than the other guitar controllers and is wired only but if you play real guitar/bass, then this is as close as you are gonna get to playing guitar in a guitar game. No whammy either as any decent "real" guitar doesnt have whammy and no respectable bass will ever have whammy. 🙂
