I would like to play around with terminal service in application mode on my home network. My question is: What or are there any limitations in the number of active/inactive connections to a terminal service server? I know in administration mode there can be only two concurrent connections, is it the same in application mode? Would I have to pay for additional license's?

And for a related question: Is there any software available (free) that does similar things as terminal services for linux (red hat)?

Xwindows is already network aware (and always has been). Start up and connect. Look in the HOWTO's for how to do it. And as for your M$ question, yes you have to buy more licenses and they are PRICEY.

But does it come with any license's initially? I think at most I would need two connections.

For linux what would be the key word I would use to look up what you are talking about, Xwindows?

Yeah I know but this is just for my personal knowledge (meaning I don't want to have to pay for anything).
