Question about temp internet files.

I think there only purpose is to make webpages load faster. And to get you caught for looking at pr0n ;)

I keep 'em around, in case theres something I need to go back and look up. they do serve a purpose, to keep it on cache makes it load off the harddrive instantly.

I let IE delete them, so I'm sure I always have an updated page. If I was on a modem though I would probably keep them limited.

Under Tools/Options there is a checkbox to empty the temp files folder on exiting IE...however this won't work unless you shutdown O.E. as well.

I set up a batch file, called clean.bat which cleans the IE temporary internet folder at startup. :)

Just fragments the drive to leave 'em there. Consider a RAM Disk, they work great.
