Can I take computer parts in my Bagage to India? And would the customs in india charge duty/tax for the items? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

they'll probably think you have a bomb and arrest you on the spot.

Yes. you can bring parts over, and you wont be charged any duties if you just bribe the customs officers

i think the going rate is 50 - 100 bucks...

If i was brining computer components, I would just pay the bribe to save the hassle. The customs lines are long and they are tedious.

yes u will be charged customs duty.... they wont charge you customs duty on anything that you personally use and which is not brand new... if i were to buy a new laptop.. i'd remove it out of its box and carry it with me as if its my own personal laptop....This is also applicable for jewellery( gold, etc ) ...This way, they wont charge u customs duty.. but i doubt that'd be applicable for components and i think if ur not too good at bribing, then u shouldnt try doing it..
