Why wouldn't one call a Black Person calling a White Person a beloved patriot a racist? I would.

In my state, if you call a black man in public a n......., you get arrested, yet many black men call white people beloved patriot, you figure it out, I can't.

Proof?

Go into the street and yell "m*****f***ing cracker" at a white cop.
Then turn around and replace cracker with the N-bomb, direct it at a black cop.

The nightstick cracking your head open like a ripe melon will be your proof.

Where do black people call white people "beloved patriot"? I never heard of that word once in my life. What does it mean, whats it background?

I've had "beloved patriot" yelled at me by a four year old black girl on a city street.

This was in Columbus, Ohio by the way.

LOL that woulda been funny, SAD but yet funny since the child had no clue what the word actually ment. Same thing if it would've been a white girl yellin a racial slur. It's just a reflection of their stupid parents.

You'd actually be surprised what power that term has, regardless of the race of the person to whom it is applied. Look a man square in his eye and call him a racist, I guarantee you he will do a double take.

Actually, at that close range he'd probably just box you square in the jaw. :Q
But again, it's still allowed to sling racial epithets at white people, no one else.

Yeah, but you're just a Bigoted White Oppressor, who simply because of your skin colour is a member of the KKK and thinks the Nazi party should be reelected to power.

Remember folks, crying racism only works one way! :|

Doesn't matter, the damage would have been done.

OK 🙂

Stereotypes aren't always correct but that generalization wasn't just pulled from someones butt. Stereotypes might seem wrong but there is usually a somewhat truthful basis for a stereotype. Again, it isn't unilateral but there is some validity to all stereotype IMO.

On the question of stereotyping one group and not again. That is just modern PC bullsh!t. Like it would be ok to have a Black Only scholarship but a white only scholarship would be racist. Or it's ok to have a black social club or a black ms. cincinatti but a white anything would be racist.

Your hypothetical situations and hypothetical outcomes to your hypothetical situations do not constitute proof. Show me someone who's been arrested for use of the word N---.

I've been hit with a white cop's club simply because I didn't call him "Sir", so I have no doubt that if I yelled motha-anything that I would have received much worse.

"Only if they had a car up on blocks in front of their trailer"

Makes it a lot easier to put the tires back on, plus have you ever tried to mow grass around a car sitting flat on the ground ?

That is strange indeed. BTW- I'm white and used ni**a all the time with my black friends in HS. Not at all disperaging term at the time, hell they even called me that too, times have changed I guess.

I am assuming you live on the West Coast, correct ?

This was in the south side of Chicago when I was a teenager, scared, and the police were able to intimidate and harrass me because I didn't know what to do about it. Sometimes I wish I could relive those experiences knowing what I know now.

Hell, I'm whiter than bleached Wonderbread, and I got called "n***a" in a friendly sense. Just in the middle of an argument, and he turns to me and says "N***a please." The argument promptly stopped in favour of good hearty laughter. 😀

How about a more direct example of a double standard. On this very board we can discuss (like adults) various racial slang such as honkey, redneck etc. But if I actually spelled out "the n-word"
rolleye.gif
I would be in trouble. And that's not hypothetical, in that I've seen a person get a Mod Quote saying that not even famous black comedian's can use "that word" here.

I was actually going to make a thread about this. Few people find offense at the term white trash, but if I called anybody black trash I'd get shot.

Use of the N word is quickly gaining the status of a hate crime.

You guys keep saying this. I've asked it before. Proof?

Show me someone's who's been arrested solely for use of a racial slur. You don't even need to show a conviction, just an arrest.

Because white trash is a term made up by affluent whites to describe poor whites and it's usually whites who primarily use that term.

it is being a racist, but it's a double standard. Allow me to elaborate. A "white" frat here held a rap music themed party, and people showed up in "gangsta" clothes with afros and a few blacked out their faces. Campus groups are in an uproar asking for their perminant expulsion from the university. However, no one cares when a group of "black" students whited their faces and dressed in apporpriate 80s heavy metal attire at a party.
