I've got a couple high end headphones now I use, but would love BT. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or will I be disappointed?

I've got a pair of Bluetake that I like quite a bit, use with comp and phone,

they're the Bluetake i-Phono Plus - neckband style, but they have folding boom mic etc, they work great for me

Felt compelled to register to pass along a tip, and sadly it is little more than that, the key to decent audio is to not use Windows Media Player because of something called the BT stack. I auditioned sets for a while before stumbling across a post that called attention to this issue. I settled on the Southwing. Decent sound and controls my phone and windows laptop. I am in the market for a bluetooth mp3 player to I hope the bt stack issue is not present with the eventual player I purchase (looking into the Samsung t10).

I think one way around BT Stack issue, which btw makes every pair of headphones sound absolutely terrible) is to use winap or media monkey or some other non windows player.

And my final last bit of little more than useless info is to note that my Southwings, which sound pretty good when using winap or the equivalent on a windows machine, sounded like crap on the macbook. I don't know what the equivalent of the BT Stack issue is with the Mac OS, but bluetooth, while being easy to set up on the mac, sounded just a notch above two tin cans.

Good luck....and shop around for the new bluetooth 2.0 standard which should double or triple the range of the current version. I have only seen the new standard on the phones offered by Sharper Image. They are pricey still, but hopefully with more competition from other manufactures, the price will go down....

And trust me, if you can pay for the extra range, get it. I can barely leave the room without my signal breaking up. 30meters is really small to begin with and that is an optimistic rating, in my opinion. But despite the above headaches, I urge you to take the plunge. The freedom is amazing.

On that notes, you should try and get BT 2.0 with EDR for the best experience with BT.

On my phones I've always used TCPMP media player, it's free and has many features to customize it however you want, and there are even many plugins avaiable as well

and as for my standard player I've alwyas used WinAmp.

as for Windows Bluetooth stack, most good USB BT Dongles will come standard with the Toshiba BT Stack...

Any good BT 2.0 headphones out there? I have a Motorola pair of BT headphones but they're 1.2 or something. I've started using a BT mouse almost full time. You should have seen my face when I first tried the two together. Everytime I moved the mouse the audio stopped. It was a big 'WTF?!?' moment.

Thanks guys good info. I'll be using at this point with my phone that I also use as MP3 player. I use TCPMP for reason stated above. Thanks again.
