When you have a small piece of bar soap left in the soap dish, do you throw it out or merge it with a new bar?

Why would you throw it out? That seems silly.. it's a complete waste.
The sliver goes into a baggy. When it's full, you add a little bit of water and squish them all together, and boom.. you have a new bar of soap.
I'd say that we get a "sliver bar" about every 2 months.
I guess soap is so cheap that it's a non issue for most though.
