What is the difference between a digital soundcard and a card like creative SB live ???

There are versions of the SBLive! that have digital output....

Anyways...digital sound just means you are sending out a stream of 1s and 0s that something else has to decode and convert into analog for the speakers to use, instead of the soundcard itself just sending out analog waves for the speakers to use.

Do you know what the word digital means?
I'm not trying to be offensive...but your question really doesn't make any sense.

Do you have an example of what you call a digital card?
