I recently found out when it's cloudy out my satellite pretty much quits working so I was wondering if I could still use regular internet on this computer or will it not work now with the satellite settings?

What information would you need in order to be able to tell me if I can or not? I got a couple free months on aol so figured I would use them when I can't use this.

AOL is a different animal. There is a chance installing AOL will do something funky with the system, but I can't tell you for sure. It may just work out of the box.

What is regular internet? Are you asking if you could stilll use dialup? Your satellite will use your ethernet NIC or usb interface IF your using bi-directional satellite. If your still using your dialup to upload then using aol or any other dialup service will create a completely seperate dialup account. There would be nothing to configure. HOWEVER, as mentioned, installing AOL on any machine is a dice roll if you have other networking or dialup connectivity being used or setup so AOL is an "at your own risk" equation.
