Does anyone know if it comes with Thermal Compound? If it does, should I use that or should I buy a different brand of thermal paste? If different brand, which one(Recommend please)? Lastly, is there a really good instruction method on how to apply the thermal paste onto my qx6850 and s1283? Do I apply the thermal compound to the base of the s1283 and ontop of the compound or just onto the cpu? I'm very confused about this process, but I think it is the most important so.

Thanks!

Ok, xigmatek comes with it's own paste, but it's very fluid, so I didn't use it. Get some Arctic Sylver 5, it's the best. Since I bought the cooler, I've installed it some 5 times, because I always felt that I ,previously , didn't do a great job. So, here is what seems to be the best :
Clean the cpu base and the cooler with isopropilyc alcohol.

Apply AS5 on the cpu base, just a tiny drop in the middle of the cpu, then spread that with your finger in a plastic bag, in a thin layer on the cpu, including corners.

Then apply a very, very small amount of thermal paste on the heatsink base, just to get it "dirty", basically using the paste left on the plastic bag you've used when applying on the cpu.

Make sure to have the places between the heatpipes and the aluminium base of the heatsink, filled with paste, even if this implies adding an extra "portion" of paste directly from the tube.

That is all, after you put the heatsink on the cpu, move it a bit before screwing it.
