Question about Rebates, should I report this to BBB or what?

Last August I ordered DirectTV and it was supposed to have a rebate for a home theater system (dvd player and surround sound speakers)...normal rebate things they try and get you not to do it, by saying you have to wait 6 months before you apply

Feb. I finally fill out the form and send it in, but they say may take up to 10-12 weeks for delievery.

now its may, the 3 months have passed...I called them up because I still have not recieved the items.

Now they claim it is on back order and they will not get it to me until middle of July at the earliest

update, finally got a manager today, she said that there is no way to get it before july and they will not offer any comensation.

this is a company that works for directv, so I guess i will report them to Directv and to the BBB

i assume it is...i dont really care about the speakers I have speakers already, but i could use another DVD player which it comes with, dont care if its ghetto or not

If you got copy of all the paper work you sent in for rebate, call them up and scream at them. If they hang up on you, call the police.

i would see if directv could reimburse your acct.(free month?) for your trouble and forget all about it.

i have all the paperwork and they admit its been processed, but they say they do not have it until july, even though the paperwork says to allow 10-12 weeks and its been 12 weeks

Well, you need to stay on them. If they still don't send you the money by July, talk to a manager or call BBB.

im calling back, gonna try and talk to a manager and try and get something from it.

how can you give rebates and then admit you dont have the rebate to give back?
