If you have a set of 2x512 gig ram dual channel and 2 other 512 sticks diff brand, all put in, will the dual channel still operate in dual channel?
 
Assuming the RAM have similar specs, it should. It is never guaranteed between different types of RAM, but it often works anyways...
 
It will still be dual channel. The question is whether or not all the ram will agree and the system will run stably. Chances are it will, but its worth running a few hours of memtest to make sure.
 
do not use spd or if so put worst first or set to worst set of ram's timings you should be ok
needless to say keep each set together
remember 2x2x512 may have to run more relaxed timings than 2x512
2T for sure
might have to drop back divider
actually start off with divider and then tune like an oc
