Question about RAM Maxed.

I started with just 2 gigs,
then 4 gigs ( Really speed things up ) So, I went to 8 gigs.
Didn't notice any difference what so ever.
MS suggests 8 gigs With Vista 64.
This is used for Gaming only.
This may sound silly, But will the system use it ( The 8 gigs ) Without me noticing a difference.

Think about it this way. It is lunch time and you go to White Castle. You eat two of their little slider burgers for your meal. You are still hungry. Next day you "upgrade" by eating four of their disgustingly delicious sliders, and find that you feel better because you are no longer hungry.

Ask yourself this... if the third day you eat EIGHT of them for lunch, will it be an improvement over four?

Basically, with RAM if you don't have enough then Windows will use a page file (swap to disk) and stuff will still run, albeit slowly. Obviously 2GB was just not enough. Once you went to 4GB, Windows no longer had to swap to disk so things sped up. With 8GB, since Windows already had enough, there was no further improvement.
