Question about PS2 and the Parental Setting

My PS2 was giving me all sorts of errors, so I took it apart and cleaned it up. Works now, except now when I try to play a DVD my old parental setting doesn't work. I typed in 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 for it, and it has always worked until now. I did not disconnect anything so wtf? How do I get rid of it all together?
 
I'd love to know the answer to this also. That damn thing comes up every time I watch a dvd movie and it gets annoying.

If that doesn't work, call Sony and provide the model # - they'll give you the default PIN code. Then you can turn off parental control.
