Let's say you read this really funny post or reply. Then, your eyes scroll downwards and you see that it was EDITED. Does this make it less funny for you?

This question has been occupying me for the last hour or two. I'm wondering if it does for myself since I don't ever recall this happening, but somehow I can't help but think that it would be less funny. But that goes in the face of common sense. A post is funny regardless, shouldn't it? Urgh...I can't decide.

Unless the funny lines (lines that make the post funny) were erased from the post, I wouldn't think that an edited post would be less funny than the original post.

No less funny if edited. Lots of people (including myself) notice a spelling mistake afterwards and just go in to correct it. Damned if I'm going to deal with the grammar/spelling nazis.

Your post is funny though, cuz:

Yet another PARODY thread...from like 2 minutes ago.

This is the first thread in this format. The "Wang" thread IS the parody thread.:)

I edit roughly 75% of my posts. So I hope it doesn't bother you. I just like to reread and make certain that everything is clear.

I edit my grammar/spelling a lot, but I rarely change the intent of the post...unless I add more funny.

i am surprised you didn't get a time out for posting about your shrinking wang.
time outs are rare here lately.

i guess you'd have to post a pic of your tiny wang to get a time out, huh?

Yes. It pisses me off when I have to edit my own posts for this exact reason, makes it seems like whatever clever bit there is was added on an edit, instead of me just editing a spelling or grammar error.

I end up editing a lot of my posts. I have a spell checker installed (Mozilla) but when I forget to use it, my poor typing skills show up.
