Question about P4m's

I thought P4M's meant Pentium 4 Mobiles and could only be run on laptops? How come some people are running them on desktops? Kinda confused 😀 any answers would be great

P4m's are laptop chips and yes, they do run on desktop boards. See the Official P4m Database thread for more info...🙂

The P4-M just has added power saving features that the desktop version lacks is the only real difference, and surprisingly the mobiles seem to be financially equitable as a desktop solution in the price/performance arena :Q😉

Did you notice Mikki's sig? On some boards the mobiles default to 12x providing 200mhz+ FSB with the right setup. No way in hell are they sucking me into spending any more on computers though! I'm starting to think these guys are trying to improve sells because they're stock holders :frown:😛😉

mistake #1 ~ dont let the wife know what you buy for the puter.

possible fix ~ explain to her that its cheaper this way! everytime you buy something you get to sell something and get a return for your $ 😉
