Question about P&N locking

There are MANY threads that are started like this so my question is if this is yet another new standard in P&N like the other "discredited" excuse.

Seems this "rumor" thread was allowed for quite some time and the OP was allowed to edit to change after the "rumor" was debunked.

Hell, this one was basically "rumor" and has even been debunked but yet it still lives.


Just wondering what the standards are since they seem to vary depending on who or what the OP is by/about

So even though he admits that the thread is "a bunch of sensationalistic speculation" he does not lock it. Then he says "Nothing more from me about this until there are some verifiable facts" implying that he sees nothing wrong with the thread being left open until some facts come out... interesting.

Why not leave the Biden thread unlocked till the facts come out?

Sandorski, it is an article from the NY Post. You may not like the source, but it is a legit source and FAR better than some of the sources used in P&N threads that don't get locked.

Go to Drudge and click on the link at the top.

It has a second source, although a slightly shady one.

However, as proven in the thread I just linked to, there are many many threads in P&N that are based on nothing but rumors and false BS.

How many threads about the US attacking Iran did we see?
How many threads about Rove being arrested did we see?
etc etc

I posted it again, with it clearly as speculative (much like Edwards affair, Palin baby, etc.). As this thread has shown, there clearly is some serious inconsistency here in rules being applied. I would ask you leave it open, and discuss with the ZooKeeper (Derek) if the moderation/rules are being applied correctly.

I posted it again, with it clearly as speculative (much like Edwards affair, Palin baby, etc.). As this thread has shown, there clearly is some serious inconsistency here in rules being applied. I would ask you leave it open, and discuss with the ZooKeeper (Derek) if the moderation/rules are being applied correctly.

That thread might make it past the Ban stick. :laugh: At least it brings up the issue honestly.
