Hello,
I've just recently picked up a Lian-Li PC68 case with 3 case fans, a Zalman silent cooler, and an Enermax PSU in order to try to keep the temperatures of my system down. I've got a 1.4Ghz T-Bird in a Gigabyte board, and I can't stop them overheating!!
Basically, when the case is closed, and the fans are on (the case to full power, and the Zalman cooler on full), the CPU is reading around 80 celcius in the BIOS. Now, my computer doesn't seem to be performing too badly, like locking up or anything, but the air coming out the back is very warm, and the CPU heatsink is also very hot.
Apart from the CPU, is there anything else that could cause over-heating? I had this problem with my last case, and had to leave the motherboard outside the case for it to work at all!! Looked very funny indeed
Anyway, if anybody can suggest some ways of keeping it cool, or perhaps reasons why it might be running hot I'll be very grateful.
Many thanks,
Si.
