I have a cheap tekram mobo for a celery (got in on a deal a while back I think the mobo was 29.95 +tax and shipping) anyways I am very happy with the mobo, but I have a question about it. When it boots it states 128meg ram +1024k shared. Does this mean my built in video "card" only has 1meg of ram it can use?? If so would I get better performance using my old ATI 4meg PCI video card. I am only doing going on the web and doing office work on this box no worry about 3d gaming here..
can someone help

thanks ahead of time.

I am not sure if your onboard VGA only use 1 meg or not.
I assume you are having 810 chip?

BUT I am almost 100% sure, that your system will run faster w/ your ATI instead.

oh sorry.. yes I have a 810 chipset. And on the mobo instruction book it says it has a built in AGP video . So my old ATI mach64 with 4 meg ram PCI is faster then this 810 chipset built in AGP video?

The 810's graphics are better than the Mach64, so don't worry. But it's far from being great.
