I own a G0 Q6600 and I OC'ed it to 3.0ghz on air by simply changing the FSB from 266 to 333. Does this mean it will perform exactly the same as a stock QX6850 or are there any other differences between the two processors besides the unlocked multiplier? Thanks.

it should be more or less the same in performance. l2 cache is the same @ 2x4mb

@OP, my grandfather used to tell me that "there are no stupid questions, only stupid people who ask questions".

perf will be identical to a stock QX6850. Of course, most people buying one of those will be cranking up the multiplier...

It might even be a bit better, due to the higher memory/FSB bandwidth, directly related to the higher FSB frequency.

If your RAM can take it, of course...

Same architecture, same FSB, same caches, same frequency. Simple, it will perform exactly like a QX6850.
