Question about newegg....

I've ordered 3 OEM cpus from them (one order for 2 1g tbirds, another order for a 1g duron) and all of them were fine. I'm sure it is possible to get a dead chip, but are you sure you assembled your system correctly? Try the bare minimum connected to the mobo (cpu, ram, video, power supply, PS on switch) and make sure the mobo's jumpers are in the proper places.
 
I have only ordered one processor from newegg and it was fine.
If they sent ya a dead one call them. They have very good customer service! 🙂
 
They do have wonderful customer service...i cancel my orders that i order impulsely sometimes in less than 3 minutes total on the phone.
