I got an acrylic case from Newegg last week and when I opened it the drive bay was cracked so I returned it. Due to my stupidity and because I thought that I would not be getting one of the A8N32-SLI boards for a week or two longer I sent it back ground instead of 2 or 3 day.
The problem is that I will be getting my board tomorrow and I have every other part that I will need to complete my new system EXCEPT the replacement case I am waiting on.
Newegg's site says to allow 2 or 3 business days for processing. The case finally got there today and I have recieved the email from Newegg confirming the arrivial of the case as well as the email saying the package was opened by them and inspected by them. The RMA is now listed as Step 3 on their site.
Are they pretty quick about turnaround for RMA's? Do you think it will actually be 2 or 3 days from now until the case even ships? I sure hope not. If it ships tomorrow I think I might have a chance of getting it Friday even though I am on the east coast. I had another package from them ship on friday and it got here today. So by my calculations if it ships tomorrow I should get it Friday. I HOPE.
So whats been your experience as far as turnaround for RMA's with Newegg? I've really got some serious ants in my pants on this one.
Since I dont have any other cases laying around anymore except the one I have my current system in, I have considered just ripping everything out of it and running the new system in it until I get my replacement case but that sure would be a ton of hassle to rip it all out and then have to move it all to my new case and then put my old components back in this one. But if I don't see that case by Friday then I think I might just have to. I just dont see myself sitting around looking at all this orgasm inducing equipment all weekend.
