Question about my watercooler setup

Hello all, got a quick question or two.

I have a Dangerden Maze4 (nice block!) with 3/8" barbs. Im using a heatcore that I got from some watercooling site and at the moment its sitting outside in 30F weather with a 120mm fan on it. My res is also outside.

The Question:

Is a pump that can do 210GPH enough for the above? It might be a 3xxGPH but I know for sure its under 400Gph. I would guess the total hose length from my box to outside and back to be around 10-15Ft.

Should I maybe get a 500+ Gph pump because of the hose length?

Your hose diameter isn't as critical compared to distace the water has to travel. Also, if the hose extends up (against gravity) too far, your pump will reach the limit of it's ability to push (pump) the water. I beleive this to be called 'head'. Ten to fifteen feet isn't too bad. I would say your pump being rated for 200-300 GPH would be sufficient. My concern with your radiator and resrvior being outside is that they might freeze. If you never shut the system down, this probably won't happen. If it gets too cold outside, you might get condensation forming on the outside of your line once inside your house (worse yet, inside your case).

Don't just look at the GPH rating of the pump, look at the head rating. With that much tubing, you need a pump that has good pressure(head rating).

For example, a Danner Mag 3 and a Hydor L30 have relatively similar GPH ratings: 375 vs 336 resectively, but when you look at there flow drop once you add resisitance(head) there is quite a bit of difference. At 5 head feet, the Danner is putting out 210 GPH and the Hydor is putting out 136 GPH. So that is something to think about....

Well my case is next to my window and the whole setup is sitting on top of the AC unit which happens to be so hold that the vets are on the side. The hose is almost level from the case to the radiator and resrvior. Id say at most the pump is having to pump the water upward about 3 inchs before the line becomes almost 100% str8 and leveled out.
