Hello all im new here. I just got my E8500. I installed everything is good. I am new to overclocking and I know it depends on ram as well as FSB, and voltages. The thing is is my ram limiting my system now and if not can I OC much at all? not sure how the math works to see? System specs below...

CPU
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU @ 3.16GHz
Motherboard
EVGA-nForce 680i SLI / 122-CK-NF
Memory
Corsair DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400 / DDR2-800
Graphics Card
nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb in SLI
Power Supply
1000W TruePower Quattro
Case
Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower
CPU cooling
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler

Well is the current ram that I have installed hindering my system now? If no, will i be able to OC any with it?

If you run your RAM at stock settings (800) on a 1:1 divider, that allows a 1600 FSB/400 CPU speed so you should be able to get your E8500 with a 9.5 multiplier to 3.8GHz, if you can keep everything stable.
