question about my case

ive got an aspire x-dreamer II and there are two fan mounts in the front behind the internal 3.5" bays...if anyone else has this case, do you know how big of a fan those are for (im guessing 40mm)

Actually, newegg lists it as having room for 2 80mm fans... I see one place for a fan (about 80mm in size) at the rear of the case, but don't see how you could fit one in the front. Can you measure the space between the holes and post that up?

Sometimes the case comes with 2 80mm mounts in the back and sometimes it comes with one that fits 80/92/120mm fans (mine), i have no idea about the front though

I think you're going to have to contact the case maker to find out what the F is up with it. The 3" span would support 80mm fans, but the 2.5" height won't. You don't want to mount with just two screws in each fan. Your other option would be to fabricate adapting brackets for standard 80mm fans. Just something that would mount to the fan, and then secure to the case. There's at least a few different ways to do that. Most will depend on what kind of clearance you have between the fan mounts and the drive cage.
