So I'm looking for some led push buttons that I can use for my case mod project..
I would really like to be able to use these buttons if I can. {link}

IIRC everything on on your pc is 5v, but most of the buttons that I'm finding are rated for 12v. But I know LEDs don't consume much electricity and all power and reset buttons really do is briefly make a circuit so I don't see why voltage should matter unless that happens to be the maximum rated specification and anything under that is fine....

Thanks in advance.

those switchs are called vandal switchs.

You can buy direct wireing harness for them at performance-pcs.com to make things easier for you to wire up.

22mm

16mm switchs:

i believe the last time i talked to hank, they used to be 3V until people started poping them constantly.

So lamptron made them handle 3V-12V...

This only applies to the Vandal switch i linked on PPC... as for your ebay switchs, i do not gaurentee this claim unless those are also made by Lamtron.

NOTE: LED is rated for 3.0-12.0 Volts and the motherboard LED headers are 3.3V. This is acceptable

All Vandal Switches are tested in house before shipment. Absolutely NO returns of switches that have a burnt out LED!

PC ON / OFF or PC Reset Switch = momentary switch... this means when u push it... it comes right back up, like a PC on / off switch.

Latching switch is as it says... when you push down, it latchs (stays pressed down).
This switch is NOT used for the PC... its more used for a Pump, to keep on, or a PC light system in which you need the latch to supply continuous power.

Thanks for the link. Now do you know where I could get just regular indicator lights at around that size?

I made a switch with this, some wire and a two hole connector that I salvaged. I didn't bother too much about its voltage (I reckon it could handle between 3-12V at least) because it is meant to send a brief signal, which is why you can even start the PC by shorting out the two pins with a flathead screwdriver.

LEDs however is a different matter. Get the voltage rating right. Too high and it becomes dim or doesn't light up at all, too low and it burns out.

that is not a switch?

not without fabricating something yourself

I suppose I could get those MAME arcade style LED, but I really don't like the look of them. I suppose that I could just 2 more buttons and just use them as LEDs. It would still look nice, the buttons just wouldn't do anything.
