Are mobile Pentium 3 CPUs compatible with most socket 370 motherboards? And would this be a great CPU of choice for running it fanless at stock speed and voltage?

I believe most (all?) used different packaging like "TCP" and "BGA" instead of the desktop CPU pin grid array (PGA), but some googling might prove me wrong.

All right since they aren't, are all mobile Athlon XP CPUs compatible with all socket A motherboards? Is that why you said a mobile Athlon clocked down a bit? I found the Athlon XP-M 1400 for a low price. Would this CPU work in most socket A motherboards?
