when I open up word on my brothers pc it auto displays some writing in the document , no matter if I create a blank doc blank web page etc... it always displays this messeage it seems to be just showing me the default front.

How can I change this setting?
 
Check to see if the default template, "normal.dot" is corrupted or modified. That might be your problem.

I think it's in Documents and Settings/User/Application Data/Microsoft/Templates
 
yep thats it just replaced mormal.dot with new one or just edited it, I wonder how he got it this way? I guess its a good way to play a trick on someone also!

Yeah, we use word alot! But, as for myself, I haven't used your brother's computer! Don't blame me. 🙂
