Hello there. Now for another question about memory. Im in a dilema, the choices I have are the next:

1) get 2x1Gb good OCZ memos PC3200 (200Mhz) Performance/gold/gold XTC/ platinum

2) get 2x512 PC4800 (600mhz) platinum, and buy another dual channel in some time to upgrade to 2 Gb.

PS: Both are at same prices, but of course one kit is 1 Gb the other is 2 gb.

I know that timings are not actually affecting that much, but the Mhz actually does matter for what I have seen.

Any opinions?

PS: These memos will be in NEO 4 Platinium with Opteron 170 or 175. Thanks

I would get the 2 gigs of PC3200. From what I have read in other threads, you won't notice much difference in games between 3200 and 4800. It's better to get the 2x1024 and run it on dual-channel imo. Someone might disagree with me but I am just stating what I noticed in the other threads..

Go with the 2x1Gb, if you go with 4, you will have to run a 2t command rate, which is slower.

If the prices are the same, then I would say the 2x1GB. But if the 4x512MB is significantly cheaper, then i would go for that.
