Question about memory

Will duel channel double my memory bandwidth benchmark in Sandra 2004?

My current setup is an Intel Perll board 865 chipset with 1 strip 512MB 3200 RAM.

i will share my test results in a min

Well running dual channel (at 200MHz memory speed) gives you 6.4GB/s memory bandwith, verse single channel 3.2GB/s. I haven't tried Sandra 2004 yet, so I can't comment about whether Sandra will see it or not.

so my Sandra test on 1 dim of 512 Corsair xms of:

Ram Bandwidth Int Buffered iSSE2 2782 MB/s
Ram Bandwidth Float Buffered iSSE2 2785 MB/s

is not so disappointing????



the reference number for the chip set/ram was:
Ram Bandwidth Int Buffered iSSE2 4888 MB/s
Ram Bandwidth Float Buffered iSSE2 4884 MB/s

or is there something wrong???
