Question about mechBgon's settings

Hey

I set my board to the settings you specified, but my RAM is now running at PC266. Is that how it should run, or can I modify the settings to run at PC333?

Basically, with nForce2 boards it is going to be optimal to run your RAM at 100% of the CPU's FSB speed... not higher, not lower. Assuming you have a 266MHz-based CPU, your system performance will go down if you run your memory faster, because it's out-of-sync, but you can certainly try it if you want 🙂 Hope that helps a bit.

I should also mention that the settings were sort of "starting-point" settings and you can certainly tweak them a bit... the main purpose of the recommendations was to get the BIOS set so you can manually specify timings, along with a fairly safe set of timings to start out with 🙂
