Basically, with nForce2 boards it is going to be optimal to run your RAM at 100% of the CPU's FSB speed... not higher, not lower. Assuming you have a 266MHz-based CPU, your system performance will go
down if you run your memory faster, because it's out-of-sync, but you can certainly try it if you want

I should also mention that the settings were sort of "starting-point" settings and you can certainly tweak them a bit... the main purpose of the recommendations was to get the BIOS set so you can manually specify timings, along with a fairly safe set of timings to start out with
