spoilers if you haven't finished ME1 :p

anyway. i know you can import your character into ME2 and continue playing it. i was reading up on how this works and it said you can change your appearance and class. sweet.

but what i was wondering is can you import your char twice and make two characters in ME2 out of it? i have a vanguard in ME1 and i wanna make a vanguard and an infiltrator in ME2, but i wanna keep all the decisions i made in ME1 on both (mainly, council being dead - fuck those assholes). possible? y/n?

I believe its possible. If you're concerned, make a back up copy the ME1 save game files out into another folder somewhere before you import. Most of my ME2 plays were acquired from the ME2 savegame site.

Oh snap, you can import your character with all of the decisions you made? Awesome! :awe:

Damn, I may need to fire this up even sooner than I was planning.

Yes, it makes doing a separate paragon/renegade run through ME1 worthwhile as many of those decisions play out in ME2 in minor ways.

OBVIOUS SPOILERS FOR ME1!

Yes, it's cool. The biggest changer is your decision whether to save the council or not. You get to pick who you chose as senator at the beginning of ME2. Also change your face or class too (so you can import a soldier and still change him to an adept, for example). The other ones include:

- Wrex on Virmire
- Ashley/Kaidan on Virmire
- meet the Asari scientist from Virmire
- romance (doesn't progress though in ME2, except for Liara and the Shadow Broker DLC)
- your ME1 level determines your starting level in ME2
- you get some paragon/renegade bonus
- if you made over 1M credits in ME1, you get some resource bonus at start (and a good one too!)
- Fist and Helena Blake chats
- meet Conrad Verner (with the best dialogue option - worth the renegade points :D)
- Rachni queen (you get to talk to an acquaintance of her)
- extra quests for the Asari from Zhu's Hope and the undercover chick from Noveria
- the reporter from Citadel (I think you can't see her otherwise)
- some Garrus dialogues are a bit different, depending how you treated him in ME1
- other small dialogue options linked to your choices in ME1
- news about stuff that you did in ME1 (also a mention of how you decided on the end of Bring Down the Sky in ME1 DLC)
- Garrus and Tali have some additional remarks when meeting some of the ME1 NPCs that show up only when you import a character.

I think that's pretty much it. You will also get several emails from people you met or influenced in ME1. There's a chance some of the ME1 stuff will influence ME3 things (and didn't do anything for ME2). Also some of the things that ME1 had an impact on for ME2 will carry over to ME3 too.

Also, if you're not feeling up to replaying ME1 again, here's a nice Web site:

http://www.masseffectsaves.com/

Pretty much every combination possible in ME1 is available for downloading there :)

Very much worth it imo - you get a full story :)

I never got to see any sex scene in ME1 but I don't feel like going back and playing it all over again. Too much other stuff to play.
