Question about marriage

Why is it that people who are always complaining about their spouses don't get a divorce? If you don't like her yammering or turning gay, why not make it stop?

The average marriage these days costs around $20,000. The average divorce costs about the same amount. If you are already in the hole from a bad decision, why make it worse?

Its people like you......rgh. People today don't respect marriage like they should. It isn't like a high school relationship, you don't just toss it aside when it isn't going perfect.

You toss it aside when you hate your spouse, which seems to be the case with alot of people. If you can't get along with someone, don't marry them.
You only get 70 years on earth. Why waste it in misery?

Again, people don't respect marriage like they should. They often get married too quickly, and often end it too quickly. If you've got your whole life to live with your spouse, what's the rush to get married?

I've had socially acceptable nookie and I'm 18...

Because there are some people who enjoy bitching about their problems on an online forum more than actually dealing with life's problems and getting over it. 😉

You had nookie; a decent sized portion of the population wouldn't nessisarily find it acceptable however to be getting it out of wedlock. That little old lady staring at you has more of an effect than people will admit to(see: the first law of human survival - acceptance of your fellow peers/humans is critical).

some people just don't realize they don't really get along with the other person, it's just hormones and lack of thinking things through.

People who disprove of sex outside of marriage in general don't know what they are talking about. To have a lasting marriage you have to be compatible with your spouse, sexual compatibility is one of those things, so if you wait till marriage, how will you know beforehand?

Simple, because they use the attention and sympathy to try to form new sexual relationships. They are sexual predators...

You know, divorces or the aftermath dont come cheap.

My parents were married for 25 years and just now figured out that they are incompatible. In the end, my MOM is paying my dad 2,500 a month in spousal support....even though she has my two brothers living with her. She pays for their school, cars, and insurance. Go figure.

That's sad...in what ways were they incompatible?

Because when you make vows, you intend to keep them, for better or worse, through sickness and in health, etc.

Divorce is for men with no balls. Maybe if people waited a little longer before getting married, got a little older so they know both have matured, much of the problems could be avoided.

The legal age to get married should be raised to 25. 🙂

This just supports my theory of Male Selenium Depletion. Sex before marriage = selenium deficiency = lack of thinking = getting married for wrong reasons.
