question about male/female physical contact ... what do you think about?

Just something I've noticed over the years. Let's say you're sitting right next to someone in an auditorium (a cute girl) and you've talked to her but don't really know her well. There's only one armrest between your chair and hers, and both of you have your arm on it, so your hands are touching. Assuming you're not repulsed (duh) you stay that way. But do you ever think about it? Moreover, do you ever wonder if the other person (the girl in this case) thinks about it or just ignores it? Just wondering. Because I've always thought about it for at least a few seconds.

i usually start rubbing the girls arm....that way she either moves her arm in disgust and i get the whole armrest, or shes into it, and i get a back rub. a win/win situation.

I've been in relationships before, I know. I don't mean it like that though. You don't really dwell on it, but you do notice it.
