Wondering if this setup could archive near 500 Mbytes/s transfert rate...
For System Boot disk

A 120GB OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD connected to a
CalDigit FASTA-2e 6G eSATA cards Controller Card plugged into a Mac Pro 3.33 (all hooked up using proper 'cableage' to fully support SATA III throughput, of course)?
This is outside of any enclosure which could limit throughput, using just the SATA III cable and an IDE/SATA power adapter from USBGeek.
😕😕
thanks ...

should work but i would ask over at mac rumors.

Why dont you want it inside?

What I mean by inside is I think people make a harness that fits on the inside of the door.

inside a mac Pro is just SATA II 3Gb/s...

I know. What im saying is buy a hard drive harness that attaches inside the case and runs to your sata 3.0 card.

I believe some of those cards have internal connectors. Do some google-fu
