question about listening to music on PC

I have a music CD in my cdrom drive and i want to listen to it using headphones. I connected it to the connection on the front of the cdrom but it just plays thru my speakers..how do i make it only play thru my headphones?

Make sure you have it plugged into the right hole first. And also try plugging your headphones into the back of your sound card. Or check your volume control ( double click on the speaker beside your clock )
