Question about Linux install

I just downloaded the newest ubuntu dist. and i was wondering what was the best way to install it if i wanted to remove it later and not effect my WinXP install.

I have installed linux before and it always seems that i can never fully get rid of its presents when i want to remove it from a system.

Also is there a way for to use the the windows boot selector instead of the included linux one? (not sure if i want to do this but just wondering)

Thanks,
Chris

Not sure about using Windows boot loader for Linux, but you should be able to setup dual boot with Ubuntu and use it's bootloader. Once you decide you don't want it anymore, just use the XP CD to boot to the recovery console and type "fixmbr". This will erase the Linux bootloader and set your computer to boot to Windows automatically. Then, you can just open My Computer->Manage and format the partition that you had Linux on. Easy as that.
