Question about layout of Asus a7v333

I seen some pics of this board and the layout of the back panel is different. The audio jacks are turned in a horizontal row and above them are more USB ports. My question is: are case manufacturers shipping cases that will fit this style? Or is Asus sending an adapter of some sort? Help me please.

usually when a motherboard comes with a non standard atx layout it almost always come with a new i/o shield plate to install in your existing case so the board fits right

if you go to newegg.com and look at the asus a7m266-d (select "see it" if you scroll to the last photo you see it comes with a new i/o shield)

That's right, I just got my A7v333 and it does indeed have the new I/O shield, so no worries there.

I wanna know where you got it too... every store on Pricewatch that has it is sold out/backordered whatever.. and they all have an ETA of 3/15.. what's up with that?

Gimps, the A7v333 hasn't even been released in the US. Last update I saw was a release date of 3/26/2002.

We all must use some patience here. The best MB ever is coming!!!

We must have seen the same review,
I kinda remember it saying that the board they reviewed didnt come with the plate but hopefully the shipping version will.

Glad to hear the plate comes with the board.

I really dont wanna wait until the 26th.(see my KT333?? post)

But this board does look like the one to buy!
Looks like I'll need some patience.

NickE, thanks for that info.

That's it guys, you just need patience over there - it's been out here in the UK for a few weeks now🙂 To answer NicColt, I'm running an XP 1800+ with a Thermalright AX-7. So far, everything is running stably, 1667 MHz without any problems at default VCore, memory at CL2 (Crucial PC2100). When I get some more time, I'll have more of a play with it - the best feature is the overvolt jumper that adds 0.35 V to your current setting i.e. 1.85->2.20V. I should get my two sticks of Kingmax PC2700 this week, then it's time for some serious playing!
