Hey people,
I have a friend that needs a laptop soon and asked me for help... well, I need suggestions.
He will be mainly using for corporate presentations, graphing, photo editing and for work (word, etc).
He doesn't want something too bulky and that weights a lot (ie. 6lb or more).
He doesn't need the latest radeon 7500 or geforce in it too.
Oh yeah! he want's the battery to last and he wants a lot of CPU power (P4M (yes M for mobility, not that scrappy desktop Williamette based on the .18u core) or P3M faster than 1.2GHz).
I guess good customer support would be in the criteria.

Thanks for the answers in advance
Justorq !

Toshiba's have been widely recommended here. I have an older Toshiba Portege, and I love it.

Their newer ones seem to be very good as well.

Justorq, try to use the SEARCH feature of these forums. There are at least two dozen threads on the very same topic, and I'm more than sure you'll find the answer you're looking for much faster that way.

I would recommend the toshiba satellite 3005-s307. I picked one up at fry's for $1399 a couple of weeks back. There may still be some available. It is the lightest you will find for the features that it has.
