Question about laptop RAM

Good evening folks,

I am going to upgrade my laptop's memory to 8gb (max that it says it supports 2x4gb). Now the manual that came with my laptop says it supports DDR3 at 1066MHz and 1333MHz but in parenthesis says it operates at 800MHz. Now my question is: is it better to get 1333MHz (which generally clocks in with a higher CAS) or get 800MHz for the (generally) lower CAS?

Any help would be great.

It's not going to matter.
Buy whichever speed is listed for your laptop using the Crucial Memory Advisor.
You can buy your memory anywhere, just check what specs you need from Crucial.

or you can use crucial's website and actually buy the ram right from there too. their prices are not out of line and if you use their services its not a bad idea to be their customer too. they are an outstanding company to deal with, especially if you have problems. they will take care of you.

1066 @ CAS 7

The added speed will only help if you plan to do async overclocking. Very little benefit to this. AMD did this on VIA KT333/400 chipset back in the K7 Athlon XP days.
