Question about KT7A Raid?

I got the RAID version for the extra IDE channels not so much for the RAID perfromance
I have this board and want to setup with 2 HDD(not really a RAID array but for the extra ide channels), cdrw and cdrom

Is it possible to Setup so each HDD is on a separate channel and master..
IDE1...30gb Maxtor Ata 100(as a master)
IDE2...10gb Maxtor ata 66(as a master)
IDE3...Tosh 6702bUDMA2(master)
IDE4...Plex 12/10/32 pio mode 4(master)..

Would this work as I understand the IDE 3 & 4 are the RAID channels???

Or I could setup so that the HDD are IDE 1 & 2 master and slave...and CDrom on IDE3 and CDRWon IDE4...
I would like the cdrom and cdrw as separate master so and separate cheannel if possible...

Also I understand that since my HDD are not equal the RAID is not helpful

Thanks...

You would want to put the hard drives as Masters on IDE 3 and 4. and set up your Toshiba and Plextor on IDE 1 & 2 as Master. Just setup all your IDE channels as Auto Detect.

That's very similar to the setup that I have running, and I have to say that my CDR has never been more responsive. Isolating it on it's own channel is a very good thing for stability.

I've burned a few CD's since setting up my KT7A-RAID and not a single coaster yet! (knock on wood)
