question about IO Panel in back of case

hey guys really quick question...i just switched mobos recently from onboard lan/audio to just a barebones mobo w/o any of these features

however the new mobo did not come with a new IO panel (OEM) so i'm left with the old one and now i just have open holes where my LAN and onboard sound used to poke out

is it bad to leave these holes open? or should i do something llike buy some electrical tape and plug them up? i remember on an old asus mobo...the asus cusl2-c...the board came with a sticker to plug up the empty slots "to prevent electrical damage to the system...thanks for your help guys!

I've run computers for years without the case on, so I doubt a couple of little holes could hurt 🙂

Retail board probably would have come with the right cover, but no big deal.

No issues with "electrical damage". The only problems would be changes in airflow and possibly additional dust getting into the case.
