Hello all. I am trying to share an internet connection amongst ~20 computers in a very small network, and reliability isn't that big of an issue. I have access to a (legal) copy of Windows 2003 Server, and am wondering if ICS under 2K3 Server has the same 10 user cap as ICS under WinXP/2K/9x.

Thanks in advance,

-Chu

P.S., A related question. Is getting NAT to work in 2k3 as big of a nightmare as it is under Server 2K?

ICS doesn't exist for Windows 2003 Server...you'd need to use RRAS and also know how to configure it...

LOL.

Win2003 and ICS? :Q

Win2003 and ICS = Rolls Royce with Yugo Hub Cups. :brokenheart:

Any way.

Win2003 can be configured as a Router.:

1. I cannot use a router because the connection I need to share is a wireless connection using MSCHAP security.

2. From microsoft.com, Win2K3 server does indeed have ICS, unless MSDN is mistaken (it would not be the first time, by a long shot). The reason I want to use ICS because it is simple and it works. I have no problem setting up DHCP server under Win2K Server, but getting NAT to work, especially with MSCHAP, was an hours long excercize in futility. Unless something changed in 2K3 server, NAT + MSCHAP on the WAN is just not a good combo, even though ICS works fine with it.
