Question about "Guaranteed against DOA"

I see it a lot on eBay auctions. But how come a specific number of days is hardly ever mentioned? Is it just assumed the item must be tested on the same day as arrival?

if it's on eBay, i suggest you contact the seller.

i'm sure each seller has their own "policy". one guy might have a 2 day while another might have a week.

It means exactly what it says....

Guaranteed against dead on arrival.

If you wait 5 months before you open the box and look at it, it is your own risk. Most people are willing to work with you if problems arise.

By definition if it works on arrival, it is not DOA. If there is any indication of possible problems on first boot up, I would take the warning and resolve it immediately. Anything beyond that is between the buyer and the seller.
