Question about getting a dvi extension...

For my 2nd dvi port on my 8800 gts, I need to extension to reach my second monitor. I have the 3 ft cord that came with the monitor, so would I need a male/male extension or a male/female extension to extend that? I am guessing m/f. Thanks.

1) There's no way a monitor came with a 3' cord
2) All extensions are M/F
3) Buy a replacement cord, not an extension

I just estimated it to be 3 ft.. a replacement cord would have to be male/male correct?
