Yeeeeeeikes. I would not want RAM that needed 2.35-2.5V to operate normally.

1.8V is the approved standard for DDR2. Some manufacturers make "high performance memory" that needs 2.0-2.1V to run properly, but can achieve higher speeds. Many motherboard won't allow you to feed your RAM more than 2.2V, which is considered borderline dangerous in terms of possibly decreasing the lifespan of the RAM.

2.35-2.5V? I'm not even sure most motherboards would run that.

Get RAM that's rated to run at the standard 1.8V.

Well your Corsair is DDR, not DDR2. DDR, if I'm not mistaken, generally runs at 2.5V, so 2.6V isn't much of an overvolt. Jumping from 1.8V to 2.35V on the other hand, is excessive.

Just get some solid DDR2-800.

Avoid Geil ram because I always had problems with it, both with DDR1 and DDR2. The ram that DSF showed you is great. My suggestion will also be to take the Intel path. You can buy a sexy P35 with a G0 Q6600 and you will have more performance and overclocking headroom, that you get with the Phenom combo, and I guess it is about the same price. And this advice comes from an AMD owner. But it's your choice. And now all hell brakes loose and everybody starts throwing flames at me for my advice.

This is good advice. If you're going to spend a decent amount of money on a processor, AMD is not good value.
